Between Dreams and Reality

I’m still working slowly on the ask RD’s family tumblr…I still have one picture to draw thought but since I can’t draw (yeah yeah I know that I’m repeating myself sorry) I decided to advance on the coloring instead ^^

For this special update, aside from answering a question, I plan two others things :

- A voice post (haha it’s going to be strange really)
- A wallpaper as a gift…

And this is the wallpaper in question. I know it’s not much and probably not my best work but I hope you will still enjoy this simple picture of the main six.

This picture will also be in the “question” update but with a smaller version and with the text on it XD

This is also a picture done as a request (from December) and I killed two birds with one stone hoping the person won’t mind ^^;

Well anyway I release the wallpaper here first but you will see it again (maybe with a text version) on the ask RD’s family tumblr ^^

With the cleaning only… XD

Oh man it’s my first time doing this sort of “composition”… an illustration that sorta summarize a story and such. Don’t know if I really have succeed…

I curious to know what kind of things you can guess just looking at the picture…

Anyway I’m glad I’m done designing all the characters of Starry Dreams story… and I’m quite happy about how it turned out in the end but it drained me haha

I know it was impossible for me to resist XD

Of course like you can see by yourself it’s not finished…

Well so the Stallion at the top is actually Starry Dreams father. The mare by is side is his wife but Starry Dreams half-mother. The little figure near the half-mother is Starry Dreams half-sister.

The mare upside down is Starry Dreams grand-mother and the one who raised her.

Then of course there is Starry Dreams trying to reach her grandma, just under there is another stallion (the unicorn)… I won’t tell who is it  XD

And last, the pegasus is Forest Feather (Ridayah OC’s)

There is only missing Starry Dreams mother and her pet, Moumoute.
And few follower of her dad…

After I will add different things to complete the picture (few little part of different city and maybe her caravan…) I’m not 100% yet

Anyway for now I’m quite happy so far :3

Just finished those ones and those aren’t clean ones because I know I won’t color those :p

Those are just some little search for Starry Dreams grand-mother mane styles… The braids will be the final one or more the most used one since I imagine her changing often.

The little filly at the top is Starry Dreams by the way ;)
I plan to draw more moments between filly SD and her grand-mother (who raised her).

I need to do a sheet for her colors and search for her name even though I got a vague idea… but i’m open for suggestion (ask box is open). Her talent is related to making all sort of potions based on herbs.

The only sketch left from a session I did last march.

A G3 (if I’m not wrong) called Precious Gem because I simply loved the mane and the colors…

I did few oc requests at that time but now I need to do them again since the psd with all the final files is on the dead laptop…

A little progress on Zecora illustration…

It won’t be a very polished illustration XD
Not that I’m lazy but I sorta wanted to work it a bit roughly…

A bit like I was doing some traditionnal since I’m quite “messy” when it come to that area (I mix a lot of material)

Don’t know if so far it look ok…

The few sketches I talked not so long ago and related to the final of the season 2…

I only show those two for now since I have cleaned them ^^

I’ll try to clean most of my sketch now. Like that, if I ever decide to color them, it will save me some time. Plus it’s must be better to watch at something more clean that my usual messy ones ? XD

Filly Twilight is just adorable to draw !!

So much books…and I have more to do since the missing backgrounds are other views from the library. I did this one for the last frame but I’m still debating to also use this background for the first or the second frame…

I try to work on it a bit every evening and if I keep this rythm, hopefully I will be done with the drawing part this week and be able to start the coloring for next one \O/

Also I put a regular mechanical pencil to show the actual size of the pictures :p I LOVE working on small size even though it’s not necesseraly a good thing.
